About the Contributors
Kennedy Hayden, Staff Writer
This is Kennedy Hayden’s first year writing for GP You Know. She is a sophomore at Garden Plain High School who plans to play volleyball, basketball, and run track. Kennedy is very passionate about sports and bettering herself. Outside of school, Kennedy likes to spend time with friends, read, and watch movies. Even though our community is small, Kennedy still appreciates them very much. She likes how everyone knows everyone and how the community is so open to one another.
Eli Rolfs, Staff Writer
Eli Rolfs is a sophomore at GPHS and a dedicated three-sport athlete. Along with athletics, he stays active in the KAY Club, giving back to his school and community. Outside of school, Eli enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hunting, as well as making memories with his friends and family. Known for his adventurous spirit and outgoing personality, Eli is always looking to try new things and bring positivity to those around him. As a member of the GP You Know staff, he’s excited to write stories that shine a light on topics people might not usually hear about. Eli is especially passionate about basketball—he enjoys following the college game and looks forward to covering the sport in his writing.
Pete McGregor, Staff Writer
Pete McGregor is a senior at Garden Plain High School. He is a two sport athlete who plays basketball and football. His biggest motivations are to push himself to be the best and to be a good person as well as player. When asked about football, he said that he is very excited to see what this season has in store for the Owls, and he thinks GPHS will be successful this year. After high school, Pete plans on going to a college or a trade school. He hopes to write about the community and sports of Garden Plain.
